From International Student to UK Career Architect
PHASE 01
Arriving In the UK
Originally from Taiwan, Polly arrived in the UK as an international student navigating an unfamiliar education and professional system. Like many international students, she experienced uncertainty around identity, belonging and long-term direction. Experienced drop-out twice, and graduated during credit crush, she landed her first professional job after 10-months of job hunting
PHASE 02
Learning the System
Through years of working within British Higher Education, Polly developed a deep understanding of employment, recruitment psychology and professional expectations.
She began to recognise that academic success alone rarely translated into career success.
PHASE 03
Leadership & Strategic Growth
Within less a decade, Polly progressed from entry level administration into senior leadership positions across multiple UK universities, including an expat post abroad.
This involves over 5-year leadership experience overseeing multi-nation teams cross UK and Asia and strategic initiatives. These provided insight into talent evaluation, organisational performance and career progression with cultural awareness.
PHASE 04
Executive Advisory & Human Potential
Following her leadership career, Polly spent three years advising founders, business leaders and senior executives. Her work focused on leadership development, organisational growth, workforce performance, founder mindset, career transition and strategic execution.
Working with high-performing professionals revealed a recurring patterns: success rarely depended on intelligence and hardworking. The difference was often clarity, positioning, and the ability to execute strategically.

Kylha was created to bridge the gap between education and professional reality. Drawing on experience across higher education leadership, executive advisory and talent development, Polly developed a structured ecosystem helping global talent build competitive career and future in the UK.
