Polly is the founder of Kylha Group, a UK-based advisory platform specialising in high-level university-to-career strategy for international students and high-net-worth families.

She arrived in the UK as an international student from Taiwan with an average academic profile and limited professional experience, entering the job market during the 2009 global financial crisis. Beginning in entry-level administration, she progressed to Head of Department within five years, significantly faster than the typical 10–15 year trajectory in her sector.

She went on to lead a global team of over 40 professionals across the UK, China, India, and Malaysia, operating at senior leadership level within international higher education environments. During this period, her income grew from an entry point approximately 30% below the UK national average to the top 5% of UK earners, representing over 18x salary progression compared to the national benchmark.

Her career was built through a strategic career navigation: role positioning, sector transitions, visibility and professional branding, and salary and promotion negotiation. This experience shaped her core insight:

Across 16 years working within seven UK universities, including Russell Group, global top 100 institutions, former polytechnics, and international branch campuses, she developed a in-depth understanding that student career outcomes are largely shaped from the very beginning of their studies, long before graduation, through early positioning, decisions, and career design aligning with long-term immigration pathways.
